Dashboards and analysis

Dashboards are Chipper's repeatable operational views. The app opens on the pinned dashboard so the lab's most important signals are visible first.

Default panels can include alert highlights, instrument health, open alerts, assigned alerts, and average resolution time. Custom charts let you answer more specific questions using the same underlying rules, events, derived values, and SPC controls.

Use a dashboard​

Open Monitor → Dashboards and set:

  • The date range.
  • One or more instruments, or all instruments.
  • A saved filter set for a recurring review.

Dashboard filters apply to the whole view. Save common combinations when the same dashboard is used for a shift handoff, weekly operations meeting, or instrument-specific review.

Create and share dashboards​

Select All dashboards → New dashboard. A dashboard can be private or shared with the account. Give it a name that describes the decision it supports, such as Weekly automation health or Nikon acquisition stability.

Pin the dashboard you want to open by default.

Build a chart​

Select Add chart from a dashboard, or open Investigate → Analysis to start in the chart builder.

  1. Choose a bar, line, area, or stacked chart.
  2. Select the measure and horizontal dimension.
  3. Choose any grouping, rule selection, instrument, method, or time filters the question needs.
  4. Review the live preview.
  5. Add a concise title and save the chart to a dashboard.

You can edit, duplicate, move, or remove a chart later. Use a small number of decision-oriented charts rather than putting every available signal on one dashboard.

Ask Chipper​

If Ask Chipper is enabled for your account, open it under Investigate to explore Chipper data in natural language. Use dashboards for stable, repeatable monitoring and Ask Chipper for questions that are still being shaped.
