PagerDuty

Connect PagerDuty when selected Chipper alerts should enter an on-call service.

Get an integration key​

  1. In PagerDuty, open Services → Service Directory.
  2. Select or create the service that should receive Chipper alerts.
  3. Add an Events API v2 integration.
  4. Copy the integration key.

Treat the key as a secret. Rotate it in PagerDuty and update Chipper if it is exposed.

Connect it to Chipper​

  1. Go to Configure → Integrations.
  2. Find PagerDuty and select Connect.
  3. Enter a recognizable connection name and the integration key.
  4. Save the connection.

Use it for alerts​

Edit a rule's alerting condition or an SPC control, add PagerDuty as a notification channel, and select the intended service connection.

Create separate connections when different alert classes should use different PagerDuty services or escalation policies.
